Revenant Esports is one of the most renowned Esports teams in the country and has been named the second Indian team at Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions league Finals in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. They were able to win a spot at the offline event with a dominating performance on the last day of the India Qualifier.
The Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions India Qualifiers, hosted by Skyesports (one of the most prominent esports tournament organizers South Asia), took place between Jan. 8 and Feb. 9, with $8,500 at stake.
Marcos Gaming and Revenant will fly to Malaysia to participate in the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League Finals, March 18-19. They will face the top teams from East Asia as well as Southeast Asia. The tournament winner will receive $30,000.

Revenant’s performance in the Indian Qualifier is a highlight of the team’s history. Revenant, a team considered one of the top in the region, suffered a horrible start to the competition, losing three consecutively to end up in the last place in Group Stage.
The team made a remarkable comeback in the Playoffs and won elimination matches against Gods Reign and True Rippers to reach the Grand Final.
They were up against Marcos Esports in the Grand Final. The team won the playoffs and defeated Marcos Esports 2-1 to become Indian champions.
“We had an extremely rocky start to India qualifier, and lost some key matches to finish in the last at the group stage,” said Revenant Esports captain Jeet ‘Swifty’ Kundra. “Fortunately, the tournament format allowed us to participate in the Playoffs. We went back to the drawing board and worked hard, learned from our mistakes, then made a comeback. It is great to be the Indian champions once again, and we look forward representing the country at Kuala Lumpur.”
Revenant Esports won $5,000 for their victory at the India Qualifier, while Marcos Gaming was awarded $2,500. S8UL Esports was third in the rankings and took home $1,500.
