The Lottery is Germany’s Fourth to modernize with new camera-based terminals that connect retail and digital sales
Scientific Games will bring advanced retailer technologies to a German fourth state lottery. Lotto Rheinland Pfalz is moving to a modern purchasing experience, which connects retail with digital using the camera-based Contur.v Terminals of the global lottery company. Scientific Games plans to install the Contour.v Terminals that are user-friendly in 2025 at Lotto Rheinland Pfalz’s network of around 900 retail outlets located in central southwest Germany.
The project involves the company’s SYMPHONY edge terminal and management system as well as Lotto Rheinland Pfalz retailer training. The rollout of technology is done through a five-year contract, which can be extended for an additional three years.

The Contour.vterminals offer mobile scanning and contactless player interaction. They represent the new optical technology from Scientific Games. Contour.v is part of the newest line high-performance Contour terminals.
